The original tiny, cramped kitchen was non-functional for a homeowner who is a gourmet cook. She had been saving inspiration pictures for years. We opened up the kitchen to the family room and dining room, giving the homeowners an island and significantly more counter space without increasing the kitchen footprint. We incorporated pine in the pantry, echoing the homeowner’s collection of natural pine furniture.
